A reference for the work
Methods, settings, and experience.
An edited handbook gives readers more than one entrance to a field. A particular method may be the right starting point for one reader; another may recognize a planning problem or a difficulty in getting a model used. The companion preserves the book’s chapter structure while making those other entrances visible. Contributor pages identify who wrote each chapter, and the reading room offers a small set of clearly labeled editorial routes through the chapter topics.
The publisher’s page is the place to check available formats, access arrangements, and ordering information. This website does not sell the book or host its full text. Publication details on this page follow the publisher’s second-edition listing; the separate first-edition archive preserves the earlier contents.
